"Can you believe it?!" Jane squealed. "Today is our birthday!" She smiled and lay back on the towel.

Leona nodded and rolled on her side to face Lucy. She poked the sleeping girl. "Only Lucy would fall asleep on her birthday." She muttered causing Jane to laugh.

Lucy awoke with a snort. "Do you mind?! I was having a wonderful dream with...Luke." She sighed and closed her eyes puckering her lips.

Jane rolled her eyes and turned to Lucy. "Must you be in so much love with him? You guys have only been going out for one day! Speaking of which how was the movie? You never told us about that part only the part when Luke put his arm around you."

"It was okay. The graphics weren't too great." Lucy sighed and rolled her eyes

Leona rolled to her front and got up, taking her cover-up off. "Let's go for a swim." She said and walked down the sparse beach to the edge of the water. She looked back and urged the two girls to follow her.

Lucy gave a dramatic sigh and followed her friend. She waded in and the dove under.

Jane was right behind them and did a cannonball into the warm waters.

The three girls walked around splashing occasionally and talked more about the party that was happening in 5 short hours.

"I hope our mom's got chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla cake!" Lucy moaned, her stomach rumbling. Suddenly, all three girls felt a tug at their legs. They looked down and nearly fainted.

"Are you seeing what I'm seeing?" Jane asked, panic-stricken.

"I'm not sure." Leona gave a short gasp and tried out her new accessory.

They all had FINS!
